About: Dr. Golam Mustafa MBBS, MRCS (UK), FCPS (Surgery), MS (Colorectal Surgery) is a Colorectal Surgeon. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Colorectal Surgery at Dhaka Medical College, Bangladesh. He was born in 1980, in Shibchar, Madaripur, Bangladesh.
He completed his MBBS from Sir Salimulah Medical College, Dhaka in 2004. After completing his internship he joined Apollo Hospitals, Dhaka as Resident Medical Officer in 2006. He also worked as Senior House Officer at United Hospital, Gulshan, Dhaka before joining in Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh as an Assistant Surgeon in 2008. He has completed his postgraduate training in Surgery at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Shahid Suhrawardi Medical College Hospital, and Sir Salimullah Medical College & Mitford Hospital. He passed MRCS from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK in 2012.
He was deputed to MS (Colorectal Surgery) course at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in 2013. He completed FCPS in Surgery from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in 2016 when he was in the Thesis part of the MS course. Finally, he completed Master’s Degree in Colorectal Surgery in 2017. He was posted as Surgical Registrar at Sir Salimullah Medical College & Mitford Hospital and then Dhaka Medical College Hospital. He was promoted to Assistant professor of Colorectal Surgery and posted at Dhaka Medical College.
