About: Prof. (Dr.) Md. Mamunur Rashid (Sizar), graduated from Rajshahi Medical College in 1989. He joined Government service in 1991. In January 2001, obtained his MD (Cardiology) degree from Dhaka University. He joined Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital, Barisal as Assistant Professor in 2003, after which he held the same position at Faridpur Medical College Hospital from 2006 to 2009 and National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease & Hospital from 2009 to 2010. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2010 and Professor (Cardiology) in 2013 at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease & Hospital respectively. Dr. Md. Mamunur Rashid obtained intensive training in Interventional Cardiology from India, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, and Italy. He has achieved a prestigious Fellowship from the American college of cardiology (FACC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions He is the academic course director of NICVD, Treasurer of the Bangladesh Cardiac Society and Vice president of the Bangladesh Society of Cardiovascular Intervention.
