Prof. Dr. Dhiman Chowdhury is a neurosurgery specialist in Dhaka. Prof. Dr. Dhiman Chowdhury completed his MBBS degree from Chittagong Medical College under Chittagong University in 1991. In 1998 he joined government service as 18th BCS (health) cadre. In 2002 he completed post-graduation degree (MS) in Neurosurgery from BSMMU the then IPGM&R (Institute of Post-graduate Medicine and Research) under Dhaka University. Now he has been working as Professor and Unit Chief, Skull Base Surgery, Department of Neurosurgery, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.
He has completed a clinical fellowship in Skull Base, Vascular Neurosurgery and Gamma Knife Surgery from Hinduja National Hospital, Mumbai, India from 2002 to 2004. Clinical fellowship in Skull Base and Vascular Neurosurgery from National Neuroscience Institute (NNI), Singapore in 2010, All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), Delhi, India in 2012. Fellowship in advance Skull Base Surgery from Harborview Medical Center, Seattle, University of Washington, USA in 2013. He has obtained Fellowship Diploma in lateral skull base surgery in 2019 from Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bengaluru, India. He has joined many cadaveric training programs locally and abroad.
