About: Prof T A Chowdhury is currently an Honorary Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Chief Consultant at BIRDEM Hospital, Dhaka. He has also been a Professor of Obs/Gyn and the Director of the Postgraduate Medical Institute (PG Hospital) in Dhaka presently known as BSMMU.
Prof T A Chowdhury served as the President of the Obstetrical & Gynecological Society of Bangladesh, the South Asian Federation of Obs/Gyn (SAFOG), and the Bangladesh Perinatal Society.
He has been a founder-consultant of Farida Clinic since its establishment in 1967. He has also founded and consulted patients at the Infertility Management Center since 1992. In 2017, he was awarded Bangladesh’s highest civil award, Swadhinata Padak by the Government of Bangladesh.
