About: Dr. Md. Abu Sayed Munsi graduated from Sylhet M A G Osmani Medical College in 2004. He joined in department of pediatrics at Cumilla Medical College as HMO in 2007 and completed 2 years of training in general pediatrics. In 2008, joined Bangladesh Shishu Hospital and Institute as HMO up to September 2009 then appointed as RMO. He obtained the Membership (MCPS) in pediatrics from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in 2011.

 

Dr. Md. Abu Sayed Munsi also obtained the Fellowship (FCPS) in pediatrics from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in 2013. In 2015, Dr. Abu Sayed Munsi went to Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Science for Fellowship training in pediatric cardiology and completed 1 year and 6 months of fellowship training in pediatric cardiology. Dr. Abu Sayed Munsi worked in the pediatric cardiology department at Bangladesh Shishu Hospital and Institute since 2009 to till date. He is doing color doppler echo in pediatric patients and also doing interventions in pediatric cardiac patients in the cath lab. Interventions such as device closure (ASD, VSD and PDA), aortic and pulmonary balloon valvuloplasty, angioplasty of coarctation of the aorta, balloon atrial septostomy in d – TGA patients, ductal stenting in pulmonary atresia, cardiac cath in different cardiac cases, pericardiocentesis in pericardial effusion have been done by him in the cath lab.
