Dr. Ahmed Ameen is a distinguished consultant dermatologist with a comprehensive background and a wealth of experience. Graduating from Minia University in 2006, he furthered his studies with a Master’s degree in Dermatology and Venereology from Ain Shams University in 2011. With a solid foundation of 5 years in Egypt, where he worked in prominent institutions such as AL-Houd AL-Marsoud Hospital and Elmataria Teaching Hospital until 2013, Dr. Ahmed then expanded his expertise during a two-year tenure as a Specialist Dermatology and Venereology in KSA until 2015.
Dr. Ahmed excels in various dermatological and cosmetic disciplines, including laser therapy, phototherapy, mesotherapy, plasma injection (PRP), Botox injections, chemical peeling, electrocautery, cryotherapy, and more. His adeptness extends to advanced technologies such as fractional carbon dioxide laser machines, radiofrequency machines with micro needling, and automated needling devices like dermapen, particularly in the treatment of post-acne scars and skin rejuvenation. He is also skilled in performing minor surgeries, including excision of benign lesions and cysts, abscess drainage, ingrowing nail excision, and skin biopsies. A specialist with a keen interest in autoimmune skin diseases (specially in psoriasis and atopic dermatitis), Dr. Ahmed has pursued international courses and preceptorships in renowned institutions such as Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona, and the University of Lubeck in Germany. His dedication extends to chronic urticaria, having participated in a preceptorship in Charite University Hospital in Berlin. Dr. Ahmed actively contributes to clinical studies, serving as a principal investigator in atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and acne. His research has resulted in numerous publications, posters, and abstracts in esteemed peer reviewed international journals and conferences. Recognized for his outstanding contributions, he received the Active Researcher Award from the Emirates Dermatology Society in 2023.
